barn gifts

The other day I was sifting through an old trunk I found in the corner of the old dairy barn where I store my tack and hay. I found this old belt in the bottom of the trunk- I cleaned it an oiled it but couldn't take the tarnish off of the metal. I love found objects. I wonder what it's past life was- who used to wear it and how long ago, where it came from....
